Lil Scrappy Fails Drug Test, Headed to Rehab!

Lil Scrappy doesn’t test well, at least when there are drugs involved. Scrappy just failed a court-ordered urine test and will enter rehab.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star was in a Georgia courtroom today (May 22) where he was told that the test came up positive for weed. According to attorney Mawull Mel Davis, the 29-year-old is well aware of his addiction to Mary Jane and will enter a treatment facility prior to his next court hearing in June.

At this point, Scrappy is knee-deep in his legal turmoil, much of which involves his drug addiction.

Aside from having his wages garnished to cover back child support, in March he allegedly switched out a urine sample which authorities discovered after the bodily fluid was cold to the touch. He refused to take another test, had a warrant issued for his arrest, and turned himself in, only to be released a day later.

Making matters more dramatic, Scrappy’s on-again off-again engagement to cast member Erica Dixon — mother to his young daughter — has run cold. The former couple’s disputes often play out on the VH1 reality show, which continues to be a steady ratings hit for the cable network.

Despite his troubles, Scrappy is keeping the faith, tweeting, “Thank u God for ur love an [sic] grace,” this morning.

Nicki Minaj on Mariah Carey: “I Thought We Were Friends!”

No one is more surprised by the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey beef than the rapper herself. Amid rumors that neither will return to American Idol next season, Minaj sat down for an interview with Ryan Seacrest, where her battle with Mimi took center stage.

The dueling judges never quite hit it off, first arguing during Idol auditions months ahead of the show’s premiere. Now, Minaj says that she never expected to fall out with her personal idol. “Imagine someone that you loved your whole life,” she said. “Imagine meeting them and then all of a sudden feeling like you did something horrible to them, but you just don’t know what you did. That’s what my relationship with Mariah is, and that’s what it’s been from the beginning.”

Finding common ground has been a challenge for the divas, but it wasn’t always that way. Minaj collaborated with Carey for the remix of “Up Out My Face” in 2010, and believed they were on good terms. “I just really thought that we were friends, but that’s the other thing I learned, this industry is so fake. You walk away thinking people are your friends, and they’re not. It’s a couple of nice ‘hi’ and ‘byes’ and then really, you better not step on nobody’s toes. And God forbid you get a little shine. And God forbid you may be witty or quick on your toes, or make someone laugh, then maybe you’re making another person feel insecure.”

However, when it comes to Nick Cannon’s better half, the YMCMB rhymer has no problem calling out such issues. Before the sit-down with Seacrest, Minaj responded to a “messy” tweet from celeb blogger Perez Hilton, telling him to focus on why Carey “is still so insecure and bitter.”

On a purely positive note, working next to her now nemesis has taught the 30-year-old Minaj a valuable lesson. “You shouldn’t have to dim your light to let another person shine.”

Beyoncé Talks Cuba Trip, Blue Ivy and More

Jay-Z may have his “Open Letter,” but Beyoncé’s response to the outcry over her and her hubby’s recent vacation in Cuba was much more traditional: a TV interview.

In a sit-down with ABC News’ Amy Robach on the London leg of her Mrs. Carter tour, Beyoncé talked about the trip, the reaction to it, family life and Blue Ivy’s future siblings.

Asked about the Cuba controversy, Beyoncé gushed over her experience in the Caribbean country, and said she was surprised by the reaction to it.

“You know, it was such a beautiful trip,” she said. “I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs. And it was really, really educational for me. I learned so much about so many people and the country, and it was actually quite shocking.”

Beyoncé also revealed that Blue Ivy may have a sister or brother some time in the future. “I would like more children,” she said. “I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister.”

Beyoncé talked about her Mrs. Carter tour and her upcoming voice role in the upcoming animated film EPIC, but she insisted that being a mother to Blue Ivy is her No. 1 job. “I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life … in the back of my mind, she’s my priority,” she said. “Life is completely different now. So, I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning — and that’s to be her mother.”

To check out the whole interview, in which Bey also discusses life goals and crying on the set of EPIC, go to ABC News.

Is Nicki Minaj One and Done on American Idol?

Nicki Minaj’s short-lived tenure as American Idol judge will reportedly end after tonight’s finale. Minaj hasn’t confirmed her departure, but a source close to the rap star revealed the news to Us Weekly.

“It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to Idol,” the insider said. “She’s OK with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.”

For weeks, rumors have been swirling that all four judges wouldn’t be returning. Randy Jackson has already announced that this season will be his last, which leaves Mariah Carey and country star Keith Urban, both of whom have not publicly discussed their future with the long-running Fox singing competition.

Minaj is believed to have received between $8 to $12 million to do Idol, a hefty sum but miniscule compared to that of Carey, who joined the show for $18 million. Friction between the two erupted before the season even aired, with Minaj caught on tape yelling at the mother of two, who she has claimed intentionally egged her on. “For all the drama, I hope it helps the show,” Carey told Barbara Walters last fall.

Unfortunately, the ongoing squabble had the exact opposite effect, doing nothing to improve dwindling ratings, which are down 20 percent from last season.

After lambasting her via Twitter recently, Minaj opened up about her rocky relationship with the songbird. “I just really thought were were friends,” she told Ryan Seacrest. “But that’s the other thing I learned, this industry is so fake.”
